Firstly, please lock your card in Manage Cards section for security reasons, then choose one of the options below:

  • Provide your full name, ID/Passport number, the ATM’s address that is holding your card for the Timo team to provide you with the Cardholder Confirmation letter. You can then take this confirmation letter to the bank branch that manages the ATM that held your card to get it back.
  • You can reissue a new card with the fee of 50,000 VND (excluded VAT 10%).

Firstly you can recheck whether you have temporarily locked your card or not and make sure that you entered the right PIN number.

You can reset your PIN in the Manage Cards section of the Timo app.

  • Select the Timo Debit Card
  • Tap on Reset PIN
  • You will be prompted to enter your password (the one you are using to log in to the Timo app)
  • Then enter your new PIN
  • Input the iOTP/SMS OTP sent to your phone

In case you want to change your PIN or forgot your PIN, you can also go to reset PIN.

Timo Debit card is a NAPAS card and can be used at any NAPAS ATM wherever you are in Vietnam.

  • At Viet Capital Bank Branches:
    • Deposit limit: None (for VN nationals). For Foreigners conditions apply*.
    • Withdrawal limit: None.
      *Foreigners needs to present supporting documents** to prove the legitimate source of funds to the counter staff before making the deposit when they deposit over 20,000,000 VND/day.
      **Supporting documents are regulated by Viet Capital Bank.
  • At Viet Capital Bank’s ATMs:
    • Withdrawal limit: Up to 10 times/day and 80 million/day.

Yes. You can send foreign currency by using a Viet Capital Bank branch as Timo does not have a foreign currency account at this time. However, you can receive foreign currency into your Timo account via a bank transfer but it will be converted to Vietnam Dong.
(Note: Fees will apply for sending Foreign currency)

You can withdraw in 3 ways:

  1. Withdraw from any NAPAS ATM in Vietnam
  2. Bank transfer to another bank
  3. Withdraw cash at any Viet Capital Bank branch nationwide

This depends on the sending method.

  • If the sender transfers money by regular transfer method, it will be credited within a working day if the beneficiary information is correct, however, if the remittance is made after the cut off time of State Bank, this entry will be posted on the next working day.
  • If the sender sends money by Fast Transfer* method, your account will receive the money immediately.

*Fast Transfer is a 24/7 transaction via the card number or account number. The recipient will receive money immediately after the sender sends money by choosing this method.

You can add money to Timo in 2 ways:

  1. Via online bank transfer from another bank: Choose Bank: VietCapital Bank and Branch: Ho Chi Minh branch when making the transfer.
  2. Deposit cash at all VietCapital branches nationwide.

Vietnamese citizens and foreigners who are above 18 years old can open a Timo Debit card if they meet the following requirements:

  • For Vietnamese nationals: Must have a valid Vietnam national ID card or Passport in an acceptable condition to identify the picture and text clearly for verification.
  • For Foreigners: Must have a valid Passport as per law in an acceptable condition that is clearly readable and identifiable (picture and text) for verification; AND
    ONE of the following valid* documents issued for a period of at least 12 months:
    • Vietnam visa, OR
    • Temporary resident card, OR
    • Permanent resident card.

*The above documents can have less than 12 months remaining but must be valid at the time of applying to join Timo. Certificate of Visa exemption is not admissible.
