  • You’re an experienced data engineer with a history of designing data pipelines, warehouses, data models and tools needed to support data-intensive products and applications.
  • You want to deploy code continuously and if anything unexpected happens, you have it covered and keep improving it in an agile way.

  • You like to apply best practices in data engineering and promote it across teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement scalable, reliable data pipeline including ingestion, process and analysis of data coming from diverse sources to Data Lake.
  • Develop data models and schemas in our data stores on Data Warehouse that allow for better business insights.
  • Develop data services to enable user-facing analytics and model inference. Tightly involved in development Squad when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to design and deploy machine learning pipeline to enable quick life-cycle release.
  • Collaborate with Business Leaders and Analysts to define key metrics and prepare data pipelines to help the internal team perform self-service on analytical platforms.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills:

  • You have 3+ years of experience as a data engineer or software engineer for data intensive application.
  • You have 3+ years of experience with a scripting language (Python, Java, Go or Scala) for data processing and analysis.
  • You have experience designing SQL tables, choosing indexes, tuning queries, and optimizations across different functional environments.
  • You have experience with Machine Learning and relevant tools & libraries.
  • You have experience writing complex SQL queries and using BI tools.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Data Processing, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working with AWS services such as Glue, EMR, EKS, Athena, Redshift, Kinesis and SageMaker.
  • Experience of working with open-source tools in data engineering such as Airflow, dbt, Superset, Kafka, Kedro, MLFlow and Seldon.
  • Experience of working with storage like MongoDB, MySQL, Elasticsearch and Postgres.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
